In autumn 2007 Danila Shakira Giorni Niels and Volker Niels launched 1tree4one . Danila Shakira was born 1959 in Lucerne in Switzerland. She looks after the project and also works as a writer. Volker Niels was born 1963 in Hamburg in Germany and works as a media-constultant. 1tree4one has its office in Lucerne in Switzerland. It is our vision to plant a tree for every human being and hectar after hectar create new eco-forest. You are invited to join 1tree4one . Aware of the fact that we all are connected with each other but also with planet earth and that trees always have been and continue to be a symbol of live and love a community of planters of trees is created through 1tree4one . Our common intent is on allowing loving consciousness to flow into caring action. What is so magic about the features of 1tree4one is that the power of this spirit is multiplied by an individual responsible action of one person for the greater good of all people. It is simple, efficient and pleasurable to cooperate with 1tree4one . One small individual investment unfolds thanks to our common effort and yields a big value added. Trees can be planted for ones own sake, for ones beloved ones, for ones co-human-beings and of course for Mother Earth herself. All you need to invest at the moment are EUR 11.00 / CHF 14.00 for each tree and EUR 12.00 / CHF 15.00 for each tree given as a present. Danila Shakira handles each order herself, makes out it's documentation in form of a tree-certificate respectively a gift-certificate and on request publishes the name of the person who put in the order on the 1tree4one website. The trees are planted by our partner, a professional forester, in cooperation with the local rural population in Paraguay and help in reforestation of derelict areas of land which used to be covered by rainforest in the past. The seedlings of diverse endemic species of trees grown in tree nurseries are planted by lots of one thousand each and cared for and looked after over many years. They are protected from fire clearance and in case they suffer damage or do not take root they are replaced. Up to now already over 10'000 trees can grow and breath fresh green and flowering live into the derelict areas.
