It is simple, efficient and pleasurable to cooperate with 1tree4one one small individual investment unfolds thanks to our common effort and yields a big value added. 1tree4one takes on - in close cooperation with exquisite, experienced partners in forestry which are familiar with the local circumstances the following tasks: Issuing of certificates including names of people involved and tree-numbers for each order. Selecting suitable areas for plantation in tropical and subtropical regions of our planet granting a highest possible ecological durability. Checking on the condition of the soil of the available plots of land and selecting fitting, preferably endemic tree species. Purchasing or renting the plots which are to carry trees to protect them from bribery and to clarify ownership. Fencing off of these plots to protect the seedlings and the developing forests from game and fire clearance. Training and including the local rural population in growing seedlings in tree nurseries and in preparing the soil and planting, caring, keeping and harvesting following FSC-standards. Publication of a plantation report each time after at least 1’000 trees have been planted on a surface of 1 hectare. Identification of the plantation by a sign board especially created for 1tree4one . Publication of the coordinates of the plantation area by means of Google Earth so that it may be visited. Publication of an annual report on the growth of the trees. Replacing each damaged tree and each tree which did not take roots over a period of 5 years. Harvesting part of the planted trees after about 10 years and selling them to local sawmills for further use in local building and furniture production. Planting 2, 3 or even 4 new trees from the proceeds of the timber for each tree harvested. Taking care of the trees which were not harvested and of the natural forest they have grown into, which provides a durable habitat for a great variety of species, protects soil from erosion, improves the quality of ground water and serves as part of mother earth’s green lungs.
