It is of special concern to 1tree4one to reforest areas, which once were covered by rainforest and now are fallow. A tropical and subtropical climate with warm temperatures throughout the year and precipitation being spread over the whole of the twelve months of the year are the ideal conditions for healthy growth and the highest possible ecological value. 1tree4one selects countries and areas with stable political conditions and geographically safe locations in terms of possible natural hazards or disasters. Even though we are aware of the fact that such parameters may be subdued to change at any point in time. 1tree4one exclusively plants locally growing trees and mixes these with endemic species - endemic species being plants, which exclusively occur within this specific geographical zone. The seedlings are entrusted to mother earth when the time is right, meaning in local spring time or autumn and after a sufficient amount of rain has fallen. In this way it is granted, that the seedlings encounter as ideal natural conditions as possible during the delicate period of taking roots. Each seedling is allocated a spot, which in terms of soil conditions, space, insolation and shade is suitable and will enhance its growth process. The seedlings and young trees are carefully monitored to recognise damages or difficulties in establishing themselves and are replaced if necessary depending on the results of the observation. Each plantation is surveyed by professional forest engineers. These cooperate closely with the local rural population, which carries out the planting. Thus labour is created, which helps to bring people a long-term enhancement of their quality of life. Harvesting part of the planted trees creates the space, which the remaining trees need to grow up and become a healthy natural forest. The timber from the harvested trees stays within the area and is locally sold to sawmills from were it goes into local building and local production of furniture. In this way 1tree4one on the one hand plants new trees and by doing so on the other hand protects already existing natural forest or natural rainforest. This being so because each new tree, which is planted by 1tree4one and harvested, avoids an old tree from a natural forest or natural rainforest being cut for industrial use. Proceeds from selling the harvested trees are invested by 1tree4one to plant new trees on further surfaces.
